My name is Daniel Evans, a proud Gamilaroi man born North West of NSW, Coonabarabran. Now residing on the Gold Coast where I have lived for the last 25+ years. The journey of self discovery started back in 2017, when retiring from my chosen career as a Rugby League player and playing for the last 30 years. I realised I had some traumas that I suppressed from my sexual abuse as a 7 year old kid. I speak openly and honest about what I went through. I’m seen and heard!
So the last 13 years I picked up a brush and haven’t looked back, from canvases, football boots, Jersey designs, active wear, workshops with schools, corporate businesses I help people understand Australia’s culture by truth telling and how artwork is a beautiful healing process.
Through immense strength and courage to face and overcome mental health struggles. I have found solace and healing through contemporary art and fitness, and I now use my experiences to help others through my initiative, Walkabout Warriors. By combining art and fitness, I provide a unique and holistic approach towards healing, allowing individuals to express themselves creatively while also taking care of their physical well-being. My dedication to helping others shows through compassion and resilience, I serve as a powerful role model for those facing similar challenges.

As a corporate executive deeply invested in celebrating and integrating diverse cultures into various corporate ethoses, I have had the pleasure of commissioning Daniel Evans, a renowned Aboriginal artist, for several artworks. Daniel was tasked with creating four unique artworks to enhance different organisations Reconciliation Action Plans and Indigenous Engagement Strategies, and the results were nothing short of extraordinary.Daniel's ability to blend traditional Aboriginal art with contemporary themes brought a new dimension to the clients corporate spaces. Each piece he created was a masterpiece, radiating with vibrant colours and intricate patterns that captured the essence of Aboriginal culture. His art has not only beautified work environments but also sparked meaningful conversations and learning amongst staff and clients. What stood out most was Daniel's dedication to authenticity and his passion for sharing his culture through his art. He worked closely with the teams, ensuring that each piece resonated with each company's vision while staying true to his artistic roots. The depth of his knowledge about Aboriginal culture and his skill in portraying that through his art was remarkable.I highly recommend Daniel Evans to anyone looking to commission authentic Aboriginal artwork. His professionalism, talent, and ability to convey powerful messages through his art are exceptional. Daniel is not just an artist; he is a storyteller who bridges cultures and brings people together through his extraordinary work.Wade KruegerManaging Director Binda BotanicalsManaging Director Krueger Consultancy Services Regards,Wade Krueger

As a mum of 3 boys, I’m constantly worrying about their well being, are they fit enough, mentally and physically healthy, are the respectful humans, all the things we want to them to be. Daniel came along into their lives all at the perfect time, one was in transitioning into high school, one was 16 and stuck in his own little body and didn’t feel strong. He has been a constant teacher, mentor and friend to them and I can’t thank him enough. He has not only built there fitness with his training groups, he has kept them on the right track and chasing their dreams, kept there minds clear and has also shown them there is life challenges we all face, life is not easy. He is honest with them and that is important too. Dan is such a good human, awesome mentor to my boys.Sarah Tweed Heads
